Healthy Foods for your Child’s Fitness
Children nowadays are bombarded with unhealthy lifestyles and diet. Often addicted to junk and processed foods that are easily accessible anywhere, thus getting them susceptible to different diseases. If you don’t guide them to healthy eating, they might ended up getting obese at an early age.


Nutrition must be our first priority. The development and growth depends on what they eat and an unbalanced diet would mean disaster for their over all health. As a parent, it is our responsibility to nourish their health through proper food guidance. Below are the basic nutritional guidelines that you should consider implementing for your child’s eating program.

Right foods for your child


Child eating breadThe first food group should be rich in protein as these helps form the building blocks of the body, which constitutes to a healthy body growth. Protein mainly comes from milk, vegetables like beans, legumes, nuts and meat products such as white meat, fish, eggs and chicken. Keep your children a steady supply of protein to maintain its body growth at a normal rate.


Carbohydrates is another important component for your child’s health. It mainly gives energy in the form of calories and supplies fiber, vitamins and minerals to the body. Carbohydrates-rich foods includes whole wheat products, red rice, oatmeal, bran, beans, fruits such as grapes, apples, pears, oranges and many others.


Next, we need good fats for our children. Good fats are not bad for your child’s health unlike saturated fats that are mainly from animal fats that could constitutes to weight gain and heart disease. Good fats are good for the body, helps nourishing the brain and supplies energy to the body. Foods that contains good fats are salmon, seeds, nuts,olive oil, fish and many others. Make sure you feed your child with good fats and not saturated or hydrogenated fats.


The most important food group is vitamins and minerals. These obviously came from vegetables and fruits where fiber and antioxidants are abundant. Remember, our children needs adequate supply of vitamin K, A, E, C, D, B complex and minerals such as potassium, sodium, iron, manganese, magnesium and many others. By training your child to eat fruits and vegetables, you are increasing their immune system from different viral diseases and health conditions.


In summary, these food groups will highly help your child to achieve optimum health and fitness as they grow up. In conjunction with proper socialization and physical exercise, child obesity won’t be a threat to your child’s health. Plus, remember to keep them hydrated by teaching them to drink adequate water a day.
